Science and education

I think a sound inquisitiveness is a precondition for science.

The What’s, When’s, Where’s and Why’s are most important.

Paleontology

can under no circumstances advance without first a correct and unequivocal taxonomical identification of the fossil organisms being studied. That is an absolute precondition for any basic palaeontological research.

Co-operation

with scientists of other disciplines creates synergy, broadens our horizons and ultimately helps us to achieve our scientific goals.

Education and teaching

is very important for me. I think it is absolutely necessary to pass on your own individual knowledge and experience to students to help awaken their interest in science. Treating students as equal partners encourages this, and helps stimulate and support fruitful discussions to the benefit of all.
